January 2015

January was kind of a bust month in this household.  We briefly lost our digital camera, which means we had no pictures except cell phone pics from this month.  I also got diagnosed with pneumonia in January and it took a really long time for me to recover...like the whole month.  Sorry for the lack of stories and pics from this month.

Cate and I had a tea party while the rest of the family was in Minnesota celebrating Great-Grandma Della's 100th birthday (which I don't even have a pic of the birthday girl).  The only pics I have of the group is from the Denver airport with their ice cream treats and a group pic at the Hormel house. Despite the lack of pictures, they had a great weekend and Cate and I were sorry to miss out on the festivities.

I love taking cute pics of the kids when they are not expecting it.  Big brother and big sister were watching "Kate and Mim-Mim" with Cate.  She looks pretty relaxed and into the show, huh?!

December 2014

We had a very busy and fun filled December.  I apologize in advance for the very long post, but we had a full month of activities.

We started with skiing in Granby

Cate was my buddy in the lodge

Ev preferred the hot chocolate over skiing

Evelyn had her Winterfest in dance and gymnastics.  She did a wonderful job.  She is a natural at both, but prefers gymnastics over dance.

We celebrated Christmas early with the Krafts because we were going to Iowa for Christmas Day.  Here are pics of the kids with their loot from a Grandma Sue, Grandpa Dick and Aunt Annie.

Santa also came early to Colorado.
Evelyn got an Easy Bake Oven from Santa.

Drew got a telescope

Cate got a baby doll

Drew also got a hoverball

Evelyn got Frozen boots

We made it to Iowa.  It was a long drive with 3 kids, but they survived and it was great to spend the holidays with my family.  The cousins had a great time playing with each other and lots of memories were made.

November 2014

In November we had so much to be thankful for and we thoroughly enjoyed celebrating this month of gratitude.

The kids started the month with a gratitude tree.  They listed all they were thankful for and this was our daily reminder on the fridge.

We were thankful for the time we got to spend in our cabin in Granby.  We went on the most beautiful hike around Monarch Lake with our friends Marti and Macy.  Tim took this pic with his cell phone.  It could/should be a painting.

Tim is thankful that I sat at Boulder Ski deals for 3 hours to get the kids outfitted for their ski season.

We were thankful that Grandma came to the cabin with us.  It was such a joyful weekend and we hope to get Grandpa and Annie up there when the weather is nice again.

Thankful for first snowfalls!  It was Cate's first time playing in the snow.

Drew had a Thanksgiving program at school.  They sang about "Albuquerque Turkey".

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Grandpa Dick, Grandma Sue and Aunt Annie.

This is a picture of Drew in Tim's old Vikings football outfit holding a pic of Tim in the same outfit.  Twins!

We decorated our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving.  I love getting all my Christmas decorations out.  It is always so sad to put them all away in January.

October 2014

Well, I did it again.  It has been about 6 months since I posted.  So I am going to catch up by doing monthly posts with highlights from each month.

Here is our "little zebra", Evelyn, riding in her Bike-a-thon for school.

My Aunt Laura and Uncle Jeff came to visit.  It was so great to see them both.  Just wish they could have stayed longer.

Uncle Adam, Aunt Laura and Owen came to visit for Halloween.  We took them to Anderson Farms.  The kids had a blast on the barrel train and picking out pumpkins from the patch.

Halloween 2015-Drew was a Navy Seal, Evelyn was a black cat, and Cate was a Green Bay Packers cheerleader.  Daddy was a pirate!
