Visitors to New Jersey Part 2

Here are more photos from my parent's trip to New Jersey. Hope you all enjoy!

Drew and I took my parents on a ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty. Drew helping me open my 30th birthday presents/cards
Spending my 30th birthday at the NJ shore. It was a gorgeous day!
The water was cold, but the sun was HOT! I think Drew and I were the only ones without sunburns that day!
Drew playing in the ocean with Grandma and Grandpa
Drew and Grandpa comparing muscle poses
My parents last day in NJ we went to lunch along the Hudson River in Piermont, NJ

Visitors to New Jersey Part 1

My parents were our first visitors to our new home in NJ. They arrived on Wednesday, June 9th and stayed till Father's Day. We did so many things that I won't be able to post about all of them. But here are a few photos and descriptions of things that we did in the first part of their trip. Drew misses them terribly now that they are back in IA (as do I, it was nice to have a few extra hands)!!

Playing trains with Grandpa
Taking many walks in the neighborhood
Going to DePiero's Farm to see the animals and eat lunch
Meeting Dad on a Friday at Van Saun Park for a picnic lunch and then we rode the train around the zoo
Riding on the train with Grandma to NYC
Arriving at Penn Station in NYC
Maybe the "highlight" of Grandma's trip
Riding on the double-decker tour bus around NYC...saw all the major downtown sites
Drew's highlight of the NYC trip...getting his photo with Elmo
Arriving back in Montvale, NJ on the train from a long day in NYC
Playing kickball with Grandma and Grandpa in the yard
Building the Empire State Building with Grandpa the morning after NYC (it is taller than Drew)!
Camping in the tent with Grandma and Grandpa
Jumping in puddles with Grandma on one of the many rainy days in the beginning of the trip
Playing "hide-and-seek" with Grandma and Grandpa in their bed

Lake George in the Adirondacks

We spent the past weekend with friends at Lake George (a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains about 3 1/2 hours north of here). Our friends from our small group on Sundays invited the entire small group up to their house on the lake. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE! The kids had fun playing in the near 50 degree water, building sand castles, going canoeing, eating smores by the campfire and just playing together. The adults had fun relaxing, eating and playing games after the kids went to bed! It was a great time had by all! Here are some photos from the adventure.
