Happy Halloween!!

Drew had his 1st Halloween Party at the library. We went as a cow and cowgirl. He had fun singing songs and trick-or-treating with his new friends.

Saturday morning we carved pumpkins. Drew colored on his pumpkin before we carved it into his signature face....a big O! After Daddy helped Drew draw a face, Drew smeared it everywhere! He thought it was pretty funny!

Tim took Drew trick-or-treating around the block. It was fun to watch and he got into it by the end saying "Trick or Treat" and "Happy Halloween". The weather was damp but warm. We did not get the predicted 150-200 kids at the door. Probably only about 75...so we have LOTS of leftover candy! All in all, it was a great Halloween!!!

Halloween Week!!!

We are getting ready for the big festivities this weekend. Drew has been practicing his "Happy Halloween" and "Trick or Treat". If you ask him what he is going to be for Halloween, he responds "Cow...MOO". It might be the cutest thing ever! But I am biased. Grandma Ruby sent us these ghosts for our tree out front. They are cute and Drew liked hanging them up! We have enjoyed decorating with him. We plan to carve pumpkins on Friday night or Saturday morning. There is a Halloween parade in Nyack, NY (not far from here) that we are going to on Saturday. Tim is taking Drew out trick or treating in our neighborhood and I will stay back to give candy to the kids. I have been told by a neighbor that we should expect 150-200 kids. YIKES!!!
Our cutie is such a HAM when you put a camera in front of him. I love when he says "CHEESE". But he makes some of the goofiest smiles. He is talking more each day and starting to form sentences that we can understand!!

These are our new couch and loveseat for our main living room. We love them! They will look even better when we get a new rug and a couple end tables.

Our New House

I apologize for the mess, these photos were taken two weeks ago before I had time to unpack everything. We are almost finished unpacking and organizing the house. We have finally started hanging pictures, so that is a good sign that we are almost done. Drew's room was the first to be finished!!
Office/Spare bedroom upstairs
Master Bedroom
Upstairs bathroom (Drew's bathroom)
Entrance to house into living room (we just bought a couch and loveseat for this room)
Dining room
Kitchen
Downstairs bathroom (Mommy and Daddy's and Guests bathroom)
Family room/TV room/Toy room downstairs

Guest Room downstairs

What have we been doing?

We went shopping for new furniture. So Drew was going to help his dad take measurements. Here are some really cute pictures of him helping out. We went to a new park near our house. Drew LOVED the park! He liked the swings, the motorcycle and the dinosaur the best! These are just some candid shots that Tim loves to take of our little boy. How could you not love these photos! Doesn't he look so innocent and I LOVE the "angry" face!! He and Natty are getting along fairly well. She puts up with a lot and he is slowly learning when to leave her alone.

Moving to New Jersey

What an eventful trip it has been...the packing crew arrived at our house in WI on Wed. Sept 23rd. Tim arrived later that evening to help Drew and I prepare the house for move-out day. The very next day the loading crew came to load everything up in the truck. We cleaned and cleaned all day Thursday and Friday morning.
We left WI mid-morning on Friday Sept 25th. We drove all the way to Ohio on Friday...Drew was a fantastic rider...except for the no-nap part! We stayed in a little town on Lake Erie in Ohio. We planned to do some sightseeing on Saturday when we woke up but it was POURING down rain. So we decided to just get on the road. We anticipated staying the night in Pennsylvania, but again, we were making great time and Drew was being an excellent little passenger. So we made it to our new home in Montvale, NJ by Saturday, Sept 26th at 6:30pm.
We then spent Sunday and Monday without any furniture in this house. Drew learned how to "swim" on the hardwood floors! That was his favorite thing to do in the empty house.

Tuesday, Sept 30th our items arrived!!! Bless the Lord! We packed this house full of stuff (since there is no basement, the garage is really full)!! We are still unpacking, rearranging, and buying new furniture to fill the empty spaces. But it is finally beginning to feel like home. One of my first tasks was to find the Halloween decorations, because this neighborhood gets LOTS of trick-or-treaters! YEAH!!!!!! Speaking of Halloween...Drew and I hit the local farm's pumpkin patch and hayride. So, sorry for the few pics, but my camera's card was full. My next post I plan to take pictures of the new house so everyone can see it. Enjoy!!

Ashley's Bachelorette Party and Wedding

I know it has been a month since I have posted, but it has been a "WHIRLWIND" of a month. After returning from NJ, Drew and I drove to IA for my baby sister's bachelorette party and wedding. Here are a few photos from each. Sorry no pics from the wedding. My camera was out of commission that night (stuck in my purse in my soon-to-be sister-in-laws car). We had such a great time spending over a week in IA. I really enjoyed being a DD for my sister's bachelorette party (minus pulling over on the interstate to let a girl puke). My sister was a beautiful bride and we are proud to have Troy be part of our family officially now. After the wedding, Drew and I made the drive back to Milwaukee to begin the journey out east...more on that to come...

This photo is the day after the wedding, enjoying a moment with my in-laws.
