Pumpkin Patch!!!

Yesterday we took Drew to the pumpkin patch and apple farm! Besides the wind and mud, we had a really great time with our T & T group from church. Even though the pumpkin patch was picked over, we were able to find two good pumpkins to bring home! The best part was the price...$1.00 each. Had we known that prior to leaving the patch, we may have searched for a few more to bring home!! We are going to carve the larger of the two this week before Halloween. Drew is going to be TIGGER on Halloween. We have trick-or-treating on Friday night from 5:30-7:30 and we have a Halloween party at Auggie and Ollie's house on Friday during the day!!

Drew at the Zoo

Lions, Tigers, and Bears...OH MY!!

On Saturday, Drew went to the zoo with Grandma and Grandma Kahler and Aunt Ashley. It was the first time any of us have been to the Milwaukee zoo. He looked like he really enjoyed it (especially his nap!!)

Sad Day :(

Grandma and Grandpa Kahler and Aunt Ashley left today...boo hoo!! We miss them all ready!We had such a great time with them. Drew went to the zoo on Saturday for the first time!!!!!!!!! We will post pictures as soon as I get them on-line. He is SOOO tired now...sleeping the day away!

Today we are getting Drew's 6 month photos! Wish me luck, I hope we get more to choose from than his 3 month photos (don't get me wrong, they were great)!! He is successfully napping this morning so, hopefully, he will be in a "chipper" mood when it is time to SMILE!!!!!!!!!

P.S. We sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY this morning to Grandma Ruby...but his pretty much sounded like DA-DA.

MOPS

Today was our 1st day of MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers). I had such a great time. The speaker was about preparing meals ahead of time and freezing them. They also gave us great ideas to do a food co-op, kind of like a cookie swap at Christmas.
I think Andrew had fun also. The nursery ladies said he was good, but takes forever to eat a bottle because he is so interested in watching everything else that is going on.
He must have been good because they didn't PAGE ME to come get him!!

Swimsuits in October??

Today we went to Pewaukee Lake Beach to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather! It was over 80 degrees here today and sunny!! It is not normal to see people in swimsuits on the beach in October in Wisconsin, but today was the day for it! Drew really enjoyed looking at the water. We had dinner at the Chocolate Factory on the Pewaukee Lake strip before coming home. Here are some photos from our time at the lake.

First Words

Drew said his first words today (turn up the volume to hear him well). Tim is ecstatic that he said DA-DA. I have been working with him cause when he was younger he always sounded like he said MOM. Now I am jealous because he says DA-DA so well. He can even whisper it or sing it!! ALL DAY today it was DA-DA this and DA-DA that....

Like a horse....

Okay, Drew is really starting to eat like a HORSE!!! Look at him gobble up his food in this video. I can hardly get it to hismouth quick enough.

My brother's girlfriend, Laura, is celebrating her birthday today! Have fun in Florida next week also you two!!

Sit, Drew, Sit...Good Baby!

Drew is finally sitting unassisted for a long enough time that he can play and won't even realize that I am not near him anymore!!

Sometimes he gets lazy and tries to lean back or sideways, but we are starting to let him fall so he knows what it is like to have to pick yourself back up.

He is also really trying to sit up, he lifts his head like he is doing a sit-up, but he won't use his arms yet to grab onto things to pull himself up...thank goodness...we are not ready for that yet...we need to lower the crib and babyproof our house first!!

Lunch with Drew

Okay, sorry no pics, but I thought I would share the latest "funny" that Drew is doing while eating....
1) He wants to feed himself, always grabbing the spoon and then trying to stick it in the bowl of food. He seems to understand which end to eat off of, cause the other end he just likes to chew on!
2) Once he has the spoon, he then tries feeding Mommy!!

Very cute! Hopefully I will be able to capture it in a pic/video soon!

Peas...or...Bees!

I tried giving Drew peas again for dinner. He preferred to eat the Bee on his chair instead of his peas, so I mixed in some peaches and then he ate his "peasches"!!

Play Date with Noah

On Monday, Drew had a friend over to play. Noah, our pastor's son, is almost exactly one month older than Drew. They had fun together (actually probably not as much fun as the Mom's had talking)!! It was great to get them together and we plan to do it more often. Also, she invited me into her MOPS group, so I will have a FREE HOUR on every other Tuesday to socialize with other Mom's while Drew hangs out with kids in a nursery!!
